Husker Craft Night

Football season is here! To kick-off the season, we enjoyed a girls' craft night, full of wine, laughs, delicious appetizers and Nebraska Husker decor. See our tips below for planning a simple gathering and craft night. Go Big Red!

#1: Select a fun and seasonal craft that fits your personality and style.


#2: Make sure you have all the supplies you need before you start toensure smooth sailing during craft time, and allow plenty of time for conversation. 


#3: Plan a simple, themed menu.  


Baked Parmesan-Zucchini Bites + Marinara 1 Garden Zucchini, thinly sliced Italian bread crumbs Italian dressing 1 Egg Marinara sauce, for dipping

Thinly slice zucchini and lay flat to dry for 12 minutes. Combine egg and Italian dressing; dip zucchini slices in egg mixture first, and then dip in Italian bread crumbs. Place zucchini on cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes at 425 degrees, until golden-brown and cripsy. serve with warm marinara sauce for dipping.


Goat-Cheese Bruschetta + Balsamic Glaze Herbed Goat Cheese Tomatoes, diced Fresh garlic, minced Fresh basil leaves Olive Oil French baguette Balsamic vinegar (1 cup) Brown Sugar (1/4 cup)

Toast bagutte in oven at 350 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Bring balsamic vinegar to a boil and add brown sugar. Reduce to low heat and simmer until thickened to desired glaze consistency. Combine tomatoes, garlic, basil and olive oil. Slice bread and spread goat cheese evenly across each slice. Top bread with tomato mixture and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Serve and enjoy!


Caramelized Onion, Goat Cheese + Sun-Dried Tomato Flat Bread Pre-Made Wheat Pizza Crust (Our favorite is from Le Quartier) Pesto 1 Sweet Yellow Onion, Sliced Brown Sugar Herbed Goat Cheese Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Slice onions and caramelize with olive oil and brown sugar. Spread pesto on pizza crust. Top with caramelized onions, crumbled goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. Bake for 7-10 minutes at 425 degrees, or until crust is golden-brown.
