Pub Night

Beer. Burgers. Cheese. Wherever you may be, you can usually find a local pub nearby featuring these American favorites. This week, we brought well-known pub dishes to the comfort of our home for another episode of the Bachelor. Our menu selections had the Juan Pablo flair, but would be great for any casual event. Sometimes, keeping it simple by serving tasty, traditional items, is the most satisfying to your guests.

Appetizer | Beer Cheese Dip + Sea Salt Pita Chips and Pretzels
Incorporating both beer and various types of cheese, our classic Beer Cheese Dip was a chilled, creamy selection with a spice of jalapeño. This went perfect with Sea Salt Pita Chips and Pretzels, to munch on as the burgers cooked. Add extra jalapeño to taste.

1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbsp dry ranch dressing mix
1/3 cup beer (Bud Light or a lager, full-bodied beer for better flavor)
1 cup shredded cheese
Bacon bits and green onions (optional garnish)

Mix cream cheese, sour cream, dressing, and beer until you reach desired creamy consistency. Then mix in cheese, leaving a little to sprinkle on top. Refrigerate overnight to let the flavors marinade or at least 3 hours before. Before serving, garnish with bacon bits, green onions and remaining cheese. Serve with veggies, pretzels, scoops, or pita chips.

Main Dish | Juan-It Burger Sliders
Our slider-sized burgers topped with guacamole, mango salsa, and slices of fresh jalapeño, had a spicy, Southwestern taste...the Juan Pablo touch. Do you think you would "Juan-It?" Serving sliders is just one unique way to feature the traditional burger. Offer a variety of toppings so each can customize their own, pleasing their individual palates.

Dessert |Blue Moon Cupcakes
With beer as the common ingredient of the meal, we even infused our cupcakes with a little bit. Adding a cup of Blue Moon beer to the batter, these citrus-vanilla cupcakes were a refreshing end to the rich meal, satisfying the sweet tooth. Top with a cream cheese frosting, and garnish with fresh orange slices or beer bottle tops. Experiment with different types of beers for more flavors.

Beer | Boulevard Wheat + Lemon
When entertaining, choose a couple of beer selections to make sure you have something your guests enjoy. For our evening, we chose our favorite, Boulevard Wheat, with a lemon garnish. This complemented our salty selections and the pub night atmosphere.
